BBT

The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust

We also facilitate the Internet distribution of spiritual literature published by the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT). Our spiritual principles and precepts are those of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, summarized in seven purposes.

The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) is the world’s largest publisher of ancient and classic Vaishnava texts centering on Sri Krishna’s teachings, with translations in more than 80 languages. They also publish introductory texts on Bhakti yoga, meditation, karma, reincarnation, and vegetarianism, as well as cookbooks. The BBT was established in 1972 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. The BBT’s publishing family includes Back to Godhead magazine, Bhaktivedanta Archives, and Iskconjos.org.

Bhaktivedanta Archives

The Bhaktivedanta Archives were created in 1978, two months after Srila Prabhupada passed away, to preserve his legacy: more than 40 volumes of translated Vedic scriptures, thousands of letters to and from disciples and dignitaries, recorded lectures, conversations, film-footage, and more than 19,000 photos.

Due to the sincere efforts of countless volunteers, the Archives today are able to offer you the entire collected works of Srila Prabhupada in several digital formats, playable on your home computer.

Srila Prabhupada formed the BBT to act as the publisher for his books, with proceeds going to print more books and establish centers for Krishna consciousness throughout the world.
